The Teacher Auction is coming to the Haunt...but how does it work?
Each teacher plans an event that their students will be excited about (past events include the Pier with the 2nd grade teachers, Laser Tag with the 3rd Grade teachers, pizza making at Fresh Brothers with the Kinder teachers, Principal for a Day with Ms. Kamau, Benihana with Coach Maldonado and Ms. Ryb!). Each teacher offers approx. 4-6 spots to his/her event, which are auctioned off at the Haunt. The lucky winners get to spend time with their teachers outside of school at these spectacular events!
At the Haunt, find the Teacher Auction Booth in the main yard! Each teacher will have a box with his/her name on it. Place a confidential bid on the teacher’s activity that you wish to win. After the Haunt ends, the box is opened and the highest bids win. To avoid a tie, we suggest bidding odd numbers (think $91.45 rather than $90.00)! The teacher auction committee’s eyes are the only ones that ever see the bids. No bid is too big or too small. Winners come in all sizes!
If you place a winning bid, you will be notified after the Haunt and required to pay. All funds raised go to WAVE for the benefit our children – by hiring class size reduction teachers, art, science, PE, computer and other enrichment teachers, classroom aides and more!
