Holmby Drop-Off Lane Reopens on Monday, January 9th
The Holmby Ave. gate reopens on January 9th, 2017 for drop-
off and pick up. The Warner gate will continue to be used for ingress/egress traffic; however, the Woodruff gates will be closed.
Spring Auction – Save the Date

On behalf of WAVE, we invite you to the 2017 Warner Spring Auction! It is a not-to-be-missed evening. You will wine, dine, snap up fabulous items, and toast our incredible kids, teachers and staff — all in support of sparkling Warner!! It’s THE Warner event of the season, taking place this year at the Sofitel Hotel, on Saturday, March 4, 2017, 6:00 pm sharp!
SpringAuction Solicitations & Donations
Parents, start your donation outreach now! Ask your friends, relatives, favorite shops and restaurants for item donations using the donation solicitation form/letter. CLICK HERE for the form.
We ask every Warner family to donate at least one meaningful item! C’mon, asking is easy — do your part and start soliciting those restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays, wine, spa services, boutique certificates, concert tickets, etc.!
Please join us for a New Year’s Resolution to get in shape. On Sat 1/28 at 11am we will be working out in solidarity at ElliptiFut with Warner moms and dads. You will also receive a
Warner bag to bring for future workouts. We hope to see you there, Dani and Danna

Join us for a fun morning of looking, making, and eating! We’ll start in the garden with bagels and coffee and then head into the galleries on a guided family tour. We’ll finish the morning
by making something inspired by what we’ve seen. Getty parking and all art supplies are included.
Join us for good company, tasty libations, a super-fun craft and a good time! We look forward to getting crafty with you and toasting a fabulous school year.

Need a New Year’s Resolution? How About You Register Your Ralphs Card and Help Warner Earn Free Money??? : )
If you shop at Ralphs, we need you! Only 50 Warner Families have signed up so far. Ralphs will give a % of your purchases to the charity of your choice – like your child’s public school (hint, hint). All you need to do is register your card and pick Warner as your charity. The program requires re-registration each year from Sept 1 to Sept 1, so last year’s effort isn’t earning money for Warner now. And, if you haven’t done it, it’s still worth doing!

Wildcat Sponsors automatically become sponsors of the Spring Auction and Warner Walk. Your name will appear in the courtyard as a sponsor before those events. You will also receive admission for two to the Spring Auction and your child will have a Warner Walk T-shirt and goodies delivered to their classroom.

Warner STAR – Important Dates
Welcome Back! We hope everyone had a wonderful Winter Break and STAR is excited to get 2017 started!
Here are some important STAR dates, please mark your calendars.
WE ARE STILL CURRENTLY IN STAR NOVA SESSION #2.
NOVA Session #2 will end on Friday, January 20, 2017.
(Monday classes will be done as of
Monday, January 9th, 2017)
Brochures for
STAR NOVA Session #3 will be in the backpacks on Friday, January 13th.
-Mail-in registration will begin on Tuesday, January 17th. (Highly recommended)
–Walk-in registration will begin on Tuesday, January 24th.
Extravaganza week:
Monday, January 23rd – Thursday, January 26th.
Shows days:
Wednesday, January 25th and Thursday, January 26th @4:00PM. (Information and invitations to follow)
If your child(ren) are currently taking On Broadway, Voice, Glee, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Acting 101 and Rock STAR then they are in the Extravaganza in January.
THERE WILL BE NO NOVA CLASSES DURING EXTRAVAGANZA WEEK UNLESS YOUR CHILD(REN) TAKE THE CLASSES LISTED ABOVE.
NOVA Session #3 will start on Monday, January 30th.

Bring out your inner Wildcat! Join Warner Wear Wednesdays!!
From now on, every Wednesday is WARNER WEAR WEDNESDAY! Warner students (and their parents) are encouraged to wear any Warner shirt (vintage or new). That could be their field trip shirt, Haunt shirt, Warner Walk shirts or one of the cool Warner Wear shirts available at the Warner Wear Store.
*No purchase necessary, but if you do want to buy new gear, we have a wide range of t’s and sweatshirts for adults and kids at the Warner store, open Mondays at assembly and Fridays at dismissal. We’re proud of our school and proud of our students; Warner Wear Wednesdays!
Free Zone Volunteers
Calling all parents of grades 1-5!
Come and tap into your inner-Picasso, as a volunteer at the Art/Free Zone tables, while enjoying the lovely children of Warner Avenue. Enjoy an afternoon playing board games, directing an art activity, or just simply creating through writing, art and conversation. Your role can be as simple as a supervisor, or as demanding as a facilitator of your own project.
For further instruction, or questions, please contact either Paula Lewis at paulafmlewis@gmail.com or Sherry Lavian at sklavian@yahoo.com. We are happy to get you started with your first shift.
Please note, if you plan a project, it should take no longer than 10 minutes. The children are only at the tables for 15 mins max.

Lost And Found
The Lost and Found is located outside the kindergarten yard. Please check regularly for your children’s lost items. Lunch boxes will will thrown out at the end of the day each Friday. Unclaimed clothing will be donated the first Monday of each month.
