Beautification Day Is Coming Back! Buy a Plant for Warner!
Join your Warner Families, Teachers and Staff on Saturday, February 11th to help beautify our great campus!
You and your child will have the opportunity to purchase their own individual lantana bush which they can then plant on the campus grounds.
Some basic tools will be available, but if you can bring shovel it would be great.
Your plant will be an everlasting memory to the GREAT experience that is Warner Avenue Elementary.
Come join us in making Warner not only the best, but the most beautiful!
The time is NOW to ask your friends, family, colleagues and favorite businesses for auction items. Remember, all Warner families are asked to secure at least one meaningful item.
Yikes, you say? Never asked for anything before? Don’t worry.
Step 1…Stash copies of the attached Solicitation Letter/Form in your car, purse, or on your phone.
Step 2…When at your favorite restaurants, shops, spas, hotels, etc. turn on the charm and ask for whatever they can give!
Step 3…Hand them the form or email it, ask them to fill it out and return it, and don’t forget:
Their 100% tax deductible donations are due February 17th.
Warner is a PUBLIC school and it is essential we raise funds to have classes such as computer, science, P.E. and art.
Donations raise awareness of their business amongst 600+community in Westwood, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, and Holmby Hills.
Ideas of items to get: Hotels, Vacation Homes, Vacation packages, Restaurants, Spas, Experiences like a walk-on for a tv show, Jewelry, Wine, Sports and Concert Events, Kid Related Items such as theme parks, birthday venues, toys, camps, etc.
Parents are invited to the next WAVE meeting Monday, Feb. 6th in the Banooni Family Auditorium right after morning assembly.
This meeting will be unique because WAVE will be holding an election to select Nominating Committee members. Nom Comm is the group formed for the purpose of nominating candidates for the WAVE Board of Officers & Directors for the 2017-18 school year. Nom Comm will present the slate of nominees at the April WAVE meeting and then this slate will be voted upon at the May meeting. Individuals who are well suited for Nom Comm are those that are or have been active at school and know many parents.
If you are interested in being a Nom Comm member (or know someone who would be good at it), please join us at the meeting to participate in this process. Any questions, please email Jeannine Sehati (jrsehati@gmail.com) or Sabrina IsHak ( sabrina.ishak@gmail.com).
See you then!

WHAT IF THERE WAS NO ART, COMPUTER, P.E., OR SCIENCE?
Has your child spent time in the Computer Lab? Perhaps participated in an Art or P.E. class? Attended Science Lab? Or was helped by the teaching assistant in their class? These programs are FULLY supported by the Warner Annual Fund. Without your contributions we would not have these classes.
Currently, we are at 51% contribution school-wide, but anything short of 100% participation could result in program reduction or cuts in 2017-2018. All donations are voluntary however, since the Warner Annual Fund benefits all Warner students, WAVE encourages all families to give (either at the suggested amount or an amount that is meaningful to you).
Thank you so much to all the families that have already made their contribution! Please CLICK HERE to view the most up to date list of WAF supporters. If you do not see your name or wish for it to be displayed another way, please contact Karen Hamilton at warnerannualfund@gmail.com

Register Your Ralphs Card and Help Warner Earn Free Money
If you shop at Ralphs, we need you! Only 50 Warner Families have signed up so far. Ralphs will give a % of your purchases to the charity of your choice – like your child’s public school (hint, hint). All you need to do is register your card and pick Warner as your charity. The program requires re-registration each year from Sept 1 to Sept 1, so last year’s effort isn’t earning money for Warner now. And, if you haven’t done it, it’s still worth doing!
Click the link below for Ralph‘s instructions, and be sure to pick Warner Avenue Elementary as your charity.
We have earned $2000 this year but have the potential to earn MUCH more!
Add the Warner Avenue HOME PAGE to your phone and use it! Once you click the Amazon logo from the warner website, it will take you directly to your Amazon app or account. See pictures below on how to set this up.
Click through the Warner website EVERY time you shop on Amazon! Warner receives up to 10% for every dollar spent. You must go through the Amazon link on our website (https://fundraising.warnerschool.org/) BEFORE you put anything in the cart.
It doesn’t cost you any more money to shop Amazon through Warner and doesn’t affect your Prime account. Your purchases are completely anonymous!
Healthy Habits Hub
Click the following link to see the latest from Warner’s Healthy Habits in the Classroom Committee.
Come and tap into your inner-Picasso, as a volunteer at the Art/Free Zone tables, while enjoying the lovely children of Warner Avenue. Enjoy an afternoon playing board games, directing an art activity, or just simply creating through writing, art and conversation. Your role can be as simple as a supervisor, or as demanding as a facilitator of your own project.
For further instruction, or questions, please contact either Paula Lewis at paulafmlewis@gmail.com or Sherry Lavian at sklavian@yahoo.com. We are happy to get you started with your first shift.
Please note, if you plan a project, it should take no longer than 10 minutes. The children are only at the tables for 15 mins max.
Please click on the link below to view the online sign up sheet for “Free Zone Grades 1-2”.
