Principal’s Corner: A Message from Principal Kamau
Welcome Back to School Warner Families!
School will open on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. The warning bell rings at 8:15am indicating that students should go line up. Teachers pick up students at 8:20am promptly. Please say goodbye to your child on the yard at the pick-up line. Teachers must give their full attention to students as they begin the instructional day at 8:20am. Everyone must exit immediately in order to secure the campus.
The first day of school is a Tuesday and that means it is an early release day, 1:43pm. Every Tuesday, students are released at1:43pm. Exit gates open at 1:43pm or 2:43pmon Monday,Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
IMPORTANT
The campus grounds are under construction. The construction is scheduled to be completed August 30, 2016. We are well prepared and resourced to manage school access through the construction period.
**The front gates on Holmby Avenue are NOT OPEN**
Entry/Exit gates are on Warner Avenue and Woodruff Avenue. Morning carpool will be available at both gates.
When using the carpool lanes, have your child’s backpack ready in the front or back seat, not in the trunk. Parents may not exit the car while using the carpool lane.
BE CAREFUL AND STOP FOR ALL PEDESTRIANS. Our children are more precious than time!

Information Packets Going Home
A manila envelope, filled with important information and forms, will be sent home in your child’s backpack on the first day of school. Please read, complete, and submit the necessary forms by Friday, August 19th.
First WAVE Meeting of the Year
Please join us on Monday, August 22nd, in the Banooni Family Auditorium (right after assembly), for the first meeting of the year. In thirty minutes or so, learn about all the exciting things your parent/teacher organization has planned and how you can help support our wonderful children and school. Your attendance is strongly encouraged!

Once your account is confirmed, you can submit receipts by signing into your account. Select the ‘Points’ tab, then ‘Add Points.’ Be sure to ‘Pick Partner’ and choose Warner. Or submit your receipts to the Westfield Customer Service Desk within 7 days.

Lost And Found
The Lost and Found is located outside the kindergarten yard. Please check regularly for your children’s lost items. Lunch boxes will will thrown out at the end of the day each Friday. Unclaimed clothing will be donated monthly.

eScrip has rebate relationships with many different vendors. Go towww.escrip.com and register your grocery cards (Pavilions, Vons); Macy’s card; and all credit cards. Shop at your usual stores in town. If you use your registered card for a purchase, Warner automatically receives a percentage. If you go through escrip.com online shopping mall, many more merchants are available that will give Warner a % of your purchases. You must renew your Von’s registration with escrip every September.
